Green has been a big part of the Raptors' success this season, and will hit free agency for the first time since signing the bargain 4-year, $40 million contract he signed in 2015.
Unfortunately for Green he had a down year last season, otherwise he could have opted to become a free agent last summer and gotten more money. Green will be 32 this summer, so it's likely his last chance at getting a big contract. Green has shown that he is a valuable two-way wing and can contribute on championship-level teams. Competitive teams that strike out on the superstar free agents should go hard after Green.
Potential Teams: Raptors, Lakers, Clippers, Jazz, Nuggets, Pacers
Predicted Contract: 3-year, $50 million with the Raptors
*Actual Contract: 2-year, $30 million with the Lakers.
Green was one of the later free agents to be signed, as he waited for Kawhi Leonard to make his decision. He may have left some money on the table by going to the Lakers, but overall received roughly around what I expected.
