Muscala started off the season beating out Amir Johnson for the backup center spot in Philadelphia. After being traded to the Clippers in the Tobias Harris trade, he was then traded to the Lakers in a puzzling move by Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka.
Muscala really has one skill, and that's as a big that can stretch the floor. Muscala's three-point percentage has gone from 41% in '16-'17, to 38% in '17-18, to just 35% last season, so he is not hitting free agency at an ideal time. Look for Muscala to get a minimum contract.
Potential Teams: Timberwolves, Pistons, Mavericks, Rockets, Spurs
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $2.0 million ($1.6 million cap hit) with the Timberwolves
*Actual Contract: 2-year, $4.3 million (2nd year player option) with the Thunder.

Similar to Alec Burks, the Thunder gave Muscala the option to back out of their agreement after the Paul George trade. However, Muscala decided to stay put, and I think it was unlikely anyone else would have offered him a two-year minimum contract with a player option.
