2024 Free Agents - Isaiah Livers

Summary
Livers was drafted 42nd overall in 2021, and built on a promising rookie season with another solid season in '22-'23, showing he is a potential 3-and-D rotational wing. He still has more to prove, as he played under 400 minutes of non-garbage time across 19 games in '21-'22, according to Cleaning the Glass, and the Pistons have been so bad that he has been slightly hard to evaluate. He also has missed a lot of time in '23-'24 and has not shot well in his limited minutes.

Known as a shooter coming out of college, Livers has generally lived up to that reputation by hitting 37% from three in the NBA. That's not an elite number, but it's slightly above-average and generally Livers is respected by defenses. He also has finished well at the rim, hitting 71% from there, albeit on an extremely low number of attempts.

Defensively, Livers has solid size at 6'6", allowing him to potentially guard multiple positions. He isn't super quick laterally, but he's strong and competes on that end. He has posted good steal and block rates.

As a four-year college player, Livers is on the older side for his experience, as he will be nearing age 26 as a free agent in the summer of 2024.

Cap Considerations
Livers was waived by the Wizards late in the '23-'24 season, and has yet to sign with another NBA team.

Other teams will have multiple ways to sign him as even teams without cap space could use any of the Non-Taxpayer MLE, Taxpayer MLE, Room MLE, or Bi-Annual Exception to sign him. It's also likely that he would only have offers for the minimum, and may not even get fully-guaranteed offers.

Potential Teams: Timberwolves, Magic, Heat, Cavaliers, Rockets

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $2.2 million with the Timberwolves
