Max Cap Room
$5.2 million Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception
Potential Free Agents
-
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($15.9 million player option, Full Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
-
Reggie Jackson ($5.3 million player option, Early Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
-
Vlatko Cancar ($2.4 million team option, Full Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
-
Justin Holiday ($2.1 million cap hold, Non-Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
-
De'Andre Jordan ($2.1 million cap hold, Early Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
Summary
Even if the Nuggets lose all their potential free agents, they won't have meaningful cap room, barring any major trades. They likely wouldn't even have enough room below the first apron to use the full MLE and BAE.
It's possible that the Nuggets could have enough room below the 2nd apron to have the $5.2 million Taxpayer MLE, depending on what happens with their other free agents. If Caldwell-Pope opts in or re-signs, the Nuggets will be over the 2nd apron and unable to use the Taxpayer MLE, so they will only have minimum contracts to add talent.
