Summary
The Wizards could have a significant amount of cap room. However, Middleton opting in would also cut into that room significantly. Hanging onto their own free agents or players with non-guaranteed salary could also cut into that room. 

If they retain enough of their own potential free agents, they may end up operating over the cap and having the full $14.1 million Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception and $5.1 million Bi-Annual Exception to add talent.
