Ennis has played well for the Rockets so far, and looks the part of a rotation-level wing, and a starting-level wing in some situations. Even if he ends up signing for the minimum next summer, it will be $35k above his player option amount. Even if Ennis wants to stay in Houston, his agent, Scott Wong Nichols of Rize Management, should be able to get him $35k raise by returning to Houston on a minimum contract, or the $1.95 million that Houston could re-sign him to using their Non-Bird rights.
